Guided by the vision of a professional landscape artist, we have meticulously blended contemporary architecture with the unique mountain ecology of the area, thereby preserving its rugged beauty and ensuring careful utilisation of resources.
By following Eco-Design principles which consider environmental aspects at all stages of the development process; we have employed sustainable interventions like rain water harvesting, groundwater recharge systems, waste control and management systems, pollution control practices, plantation of varied native species of trees, solar energy, water and light saving taps/devices.
Our homes, spread over 3.5 acres, guarantee privacy and exclusivity. With a low-density layout dedicating nearly 65% of the area to lush open spaces, a bordering reserve forest, and a freshwater spring, residents can truly connect with nature.
Interior
Our modern design aesthetic seamlessly integrates with the rich cultural traditions of the region, creating spaces that feel both fresh and familiar.
Sustainability
The project utilises all local resources available at site, including the natural stone extracted during excavation. The retaining walls of the property as well as the road are being built from it, whereas local slate has been used for the kerbs.
The interior work features Pine Wood purchased from the Government Forest Department.
The property is densely dotted with mature trees, thus providing a green canopy unlike any other in the area.
Utmost care has been taken while plotting, to preserve the existing trees as well as to further propagate new native fruit and flowering plants.
The rare, perennial ‘Chasma’ flowing adjoining to the property shall ensure that The Whispering Pines is safe-guarded from any impending water shortages in the hills.
Additionally, there are water recharge wells with more than 5 lac litres of runoff rain water- trapping, filtering and storage systems for reuse
